Modern Containers Track | Introduction to Containers by AWS

If you follow my career updates, you’ll know I’m a huge advocate for continuous learning. It’s what keeps us agile and relevant in the constantly shifting world of marketing and technology. As an international marketing expert, I’ve tackled projects in Mexico, Spain, France, the Netherlands, and London, focusing heavily on solutions from Google, particularly the Google Cloud Platform. However, I strongly believe in being tech-agnostic – staying sharp means exploring solutions from industry leaders. It’s what pushed me to investigate learning opportunities with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other players like Microsoft Azure.

So, when I learned about the events hosted by AWS-EXPERIENCE Iberia, I jumped at the chance to expand my knowledge. Last Thursday, February 15, 2024, I tackled the first module of their six-part Modern Containers Track, titled “Introduction to Containers.”

On this particular Thursday, I dived into the fundamentals of container technology, which plays a revolutionary role in building and deploying applications. This introduction wasn’t just conceptual; we tackled hands-on work to cement those concepts with practical skills.

This introductory session was brilliant – and not just for the techies! Even as a marketer, understanding containers enhances communication with the development side of the house. Suddenly, potential bottlenecks and collaboration opportunities become far more apparent. I’m now hooked on the Modern Containers Track and can’t wait to take my AWS skills to the next level.
